David started studying in 1996 with the Open University an introduction to Mathmatics. Deciding not to use his previous apprenticeship qualifications as credit towards the degree, he instead wanted to start again from the beginning. His first course, an introduction to Mathematics, involved a one week stay at Reading University where he was first introduced into Open University life.
After nine years and a lot of midnight oil, David Anderson CITP MBCS BSc (Hons) etc. graduated with 1st class honours on the 20th of May.
The graduation cermony took place at Cheltenham Town Hall with Baroness Boothroyd as the Chancellor of the Open University presenting the awards to graduates, and Mr Haynes from Haynes manuals fame as guest of honour.
