AndersonIS was one of the first to successfully install Oracle 10g release 2 onto the new release of Redhat Fedora core, Fedora 5.
The installation of Oracle 10g release 2 onto Fedora 5 was for achieved primarily for training and proof of concept purposes. The installation was carried out on a 3 year old laptop that was dual booting with Windows XP. To successfully install, some of the Oracle installation scripts had to be amended and overwritten during the installation process.
